We’re wrapping up our first week getting ready to put Carson Mell’s new video for ‘Cold Operator’ up tomorrow, but first we’d like to take a moment to spotlight our first featured contributor, Waverly Films.

Waverly Films is a Brooklyn-based group of filmmakers who met at NYU. Over the last few years, in addition to creating a ton of music videos and commercials, they’ve somehow found time to make a new video for their website almost every week. They joined YouTube less than a year ago and have since become one of the site’s most subscribed channels (youtube.com/waverlyflams). A few months ago they won a competition to create a commercial for Buffalo Wild Wings, and in April they won YouTube’s Sketchies II competition with their video, ‘Sherlockbot & The Case of the Purloined Piggybank‘ (HQ). Waverly’s currently taking a break from making ‘clips of the week’ but expect lots more exciting stuff from them in the future. These guys are, without a doubt, some of our favorite video makers around and there’s no way we would have rather started our summer series than presenting you with their newest video, ‘The Man in the Moon‘.
